Breast Implant Removal Before and After - Journey 4

21.06.23

Breast implant removal surgery involves surgical removal of existing breast implants, generally through pre-existing scars or through a new incision on the breast.

These clinical photographs are of a 28-year-old woman before the removal of her breast implants and breast lift surgery.

Her motivation for this surgery was a feeling that her breasts were heavy and uncomfortable and she did not like the current appearance.

The removed breast implants were 445cc implants, and were removed intact. Breast implants are measured in ‘cc’ (cubic centimeters). Cubic centimeters are basically the same as milliliter's and 1cc of silicone weighs approximately 1gm. Therefore, by removing these implants, this patient reduced each breast by approximately 445 grams.

This Avery patient chose not to replace her implants, opting instead for a breast lift. Her areola diameter was reduced during the surgery and nipples were repositioned higher on the chest, contributing to an overall higher appearance to the breasts.

Breast cup sizing can vary considerably between bras manufacturers, in the case the change was from an E/F cup pre-operatively to a DD post-operatively.
