Breast implant removal surgery (explant surgery) involves surgical removal of existing breast implants, generally through pre-existing scars or through a new incision on the breast.
These clinical photographs show before surgery and 4 months after breast implant removal (explant surgery) with bilateral mastopexy (breast lift) surgery. The removed breast implants were textured anatomic (tear drop) 430cc implants and were removed intact.
Considering Surgery
If you are thinking about surgery, the first step is a consultation with Dr Avery. This time provides an opportunity to:
- Discuss your motivations for surgery, your expectations and the questions you have
- Assess your health and medical history to ensure any surgery considered is suitable
- Discuss the options available to you
- Meet the team who will support you through your surgical journey
Every patient’s circumstances are different. Consultations are designed to give you the information you need to make an informed decision about whether surgery is right for you.
