From 1 July 2023 new ‘Guidelines for registered medical practitioners who advertise cosmetic surgery’ will apply. These guidelines were developed by the Medical Board of Australia and will be in force in every state and territory in Australia.

An abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) is a surgical procedure that aims to reduce excess loose skin, primarily from the lower part of the abdomen or stomach, as well as tightening the remaining skin.

On 1 July 2023 new ‘Guidelines for registered medical practitioners who perform cosmetic surgery and procedures’ will apply. These guidelines were developed by the Medical Board of Australia and will be in force in every state and territory in Australia.

You may have heard that from July 1st 2023, there will be some changes to the guidelines for practise within the cosmetic surgery industry and also for advertising.
