Breast Reduction Before and After - Journey 21

02.08.23

Breast reduction surgery involves a combination of skin and breast tissue removal and reshaping. The surgery aims to reduce the size and weight of large breasts by lifting the breasts off the lower chest and upper abdomen. The objective is to leave the breasts smaller and lighter, sitting higher on the chest and closer to the body.

This 20-year-old woman came to Avery with the goal of reducing her breasts to a size more proportionate to her body, and to eliminate symptoms of large heavy breasts like back and neck pain, skin irritation under the breasts, and difficulty exercising.

Dr Avery completed breast reduction surgery, removing 190g from the right breast and 278g from the left breast, also addressing asymmetry of the breasts, which is common.

These clinical photos were taken before surgery and 4 months after surgery, with scar maturation expected around 12-18 months.
