An abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) is a surgical procedure that aims to reduce excess loose skin, primarily from the lower part of the abdomen or stomach, as well as tightening the remaining skin. Breast augmentation surgery (or augmentation mammoplasty) increases the size and volume of the breast using implants.
This 47-year-old woman came to Avery wanting fuller breasts without the anchor scars from a breast lift and the excess skin on her abdomen removed.
Dr Avery performed combined surgery – breast augmentation and abdominoplasty. 390cc silicone breast implants were used and placed in a dual plane (partial sub-muscular).
During the abdominoplasty, Dr Avery removed 880g of excess skin and tissue from her lower abdomen and 200mL of fat via liposuction to balance the abdominal profile.
These photos were taken prior to surgery and 4 months after surgery, with 12-18 months expected before complete scar maturation. This Avery patient reported loving the new balance between her larger breasts and smaller / flatter abdomen.
