Brachioplasty (Arm Lift) Before and After - Journey 1

05.03.25

Brachioplasty is a surgical procedure that removes unwanted loose skin and fat from the upper arm, often from the level of the inner aspect of the elbow to the axillae (armpit).

This surgery may be considered if you have lost significant weight and have loose hanging skin on the upper inner arm.

For some people, the upper arm area has loose hanging skin for reasons other than weight changes. Regardless of the reasons, Brachioplasty surgery aims to remove this excess skin.

This Avery patient is in the 50–60-year-old age bracket and was referred by her GP to see Dr Avery with symptoms (e.g., skin irritation) from excess arm skin after achieving over 30kg weight loss.

These before and after photos are pre and 4 months post operative brachioplasty (arm lift/reduction) surgery. Dr Avery removed 92g of skin and tissue from the right arm and 121g from the left, in addition 550ml of fat was removed by liposuction from each arm. A 3-night stay was required followed by weekly post operative appointments 4 weeks following surgery.
