Mark Hughes Foundation - Top End Challenge Fundraiser

21.06.23

Outside of medicine, I am the proud father of three boys, and in my spare time I also enjoy trail running, ultra marathons and participating in activities to help support my local community.

This year I will be part of a team of 34 trekkers who will be taking part in the Top End Challenge.

We will be challenging ourselves to ride, trek and paddle our way through Australia’s Top End, to help raise funds for the Mark Hughes Foundation, which provides vital research and support to brain cancer patients.

The event includes a 400km ride, a hike over 35km and paddling more than 16km throughout Kakadu, Katherine Gorge, Jatbula and Litchfield National Parks.

Avery Reconstructive and Aesthetic Plastic Surgery has been partnering with the MHF for several years. Some activities include me running the Sydney Blackmores Marathon, and Avery donating funds from our Art Exhibition in 2017. Another way we support the MHF is by making a monetary donation for every patient we operate on.

To raise money for this wonderful cause, Avery will be hosting a "100 Club" where you can purchase a number for $100. First prize is $2,000, second prize is $1,000 and the remaining money will be donated back to the Mark Hughes Foundation. If you would like to get involved, please email rebekka@averyplasticsurgery.com.au

If you would like to make a one off donation, these can be made through the Mark Hughes Foundation website via this link  - this platform is secure and will be remitted directly through to MHF. Thank you for helping us support a local charity tackle a disease that impacts people across the globe.
