Changes to Cosmetic Surgery Advertising

31.05.23

You may have heard that from July 1st 2023, there will be some changes to the guidelines for practise within the cosmetic surgery industry and also for advertising.

Some of these will be around the consultation process, which we will dive into more over the coming weeks across our social channels and website.

In regards to advertising, the new guidelines state that services offering elective surgical (and non-surgical) services that are considered cosmetic in nature are no longer allowed to engage with their followers (e.g., through comments or tagging) if the post or comments relate to the surgeon's clinical expertise or your results/outcome.

Comments about our fabulous team are still allowed. We also can't post photos of the beautiful and often delicious gifts we get. So a big thank you now to all our patients for all the thoughtful gifts. To ensure we are compliant, we will be deleting all comments on our social channels that relate to the clinical process or results of surgery and turning off our tagging function.

This does not mean we don’t like the comments or enjoy your feedback, it just means we can no longer do it in a public forum.

Thank you for all your support.

So much love, the Avery team.
