An abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) is a surgical procedure that aims to reduce excess loose skin, primarily from the lower part of the abdomen or stomach, as well as tightening the remaining skin.
These clinical photographs have been taken before and 5 months after surgery. They show a 52-year-old Avery patient. This patient consulted with Dr Avery to discuss surgical options to address the symptomatic excess skin that remained following weight loss of 30kg. Dr Avery completed abdominoplasty surgery and removed 1.3kg of skin and tissue from the abdomen with a further 350ml of fat removed from the central and upper flanks via liposuction. During surgery a 2cm divarication (muscle separation) was also repaired by Dr Avery.
