An abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) is a surgical procedure that aims to reduce excess loose skin, primarily from the lower part of the abdomen or stomach, as well as tightening the remaining skin.

This 35-year-old woman consulted with Dr Avery with the goal of removing excess skin and repairing rectus divarication.

Dr Avery completed an abdominoplasty, removing 2520g of skin and tissue from the abdomen.

The photographs were taken before surgery and 4 months following surgery. Complete resolution of swelling and scar maturation is 12-18 months. This Avery patient reported an increase in confidence and being more comfortable in her clothes following her surgery.
